Playlist 7-25-11

Two new tracks on the list this week: “I Stand Alone” by Theophilus London and “Skyscraper” by Demi Lovato (I know, I know: who would have ever thought that I would have a post-rehab Disney princess on a playlist? What can I say? I’m a sucker for an angry-girl song.).

We finished up with something that always make me happy: the “hey la, hey la” bit at the end of the New Pornographers’ “Bleeding Heart Show.” I dare you to listen to the final two minutes of that song and not smile. And, when you listen to that song AND push your already-tired body to greater effort? Joy, my friends. Absolute joy.
