Playlist 9-28-11

It’s been a while since I posted a playlist, so here’s a list that encompasses some of my favorite riding tunes from the last couple of weeks. I always get charged up by the rhythmic intensity of the Kodo drummers and the La Roux track is a real ear worm—can’t get it out of my head! The cool down song, by the Scottish group Texas, has a special place in my heart, not only for it’s super-cool vibe, but also because according to David Brent, in season 1, episode 4 of the original British version of The Office, his band, Foregone Conclusion, once opened for Texas.

So, we rode to this mix last night—full class filled with energy and enthusiasm. I was so honored to be a part of that class and so inspired by each rider’s willingness to take an adventure of body and mind. We all left sweaty and happy.

(Clumsy segue) I started wearing a pedometer this week (part of a wellness program at my office; the goal is to get to 5,500 steps/day) and am pleased to note that this spinning class equalled about 6,000 steps! I guess this means I can just get up, spin, and then go back to bed, right?

Happy riding!
